Persistence pays off. Alex Jones' InfoWars, often derided as a website of lunatic, conspiracy theory, has now been added as a news link to the world famous Drudge Report. This is the latest example of the ongoing shift by grassroots conservatives away from the Republican Party towards the more independent 'Tea Party' movement. More importantly, though, it shows an increasing acceptance of conspiratorial sentiment (real or imagined) that believes President Obama and the global elites are deliberately trying to destroy the American economy to bring about world government. The fact that Drudge included it as a featured news link is highly significant and an illustration of the reorientation taking place in the nation's political dialogue.
