Ron Paul Wins California Straw Poll

Paul's serious campaign is making waves in the Republican presidential race.

Ron Paul demolished the competition at California's straw poll this weekend, held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles. According to The Los Angeles Times, Paul was greeted like a rock star by fans who waited to catch a glimpse of him at the hotel entrance.  Ron Paul received 44.9% of the vote compared to Rick Perry's 29.3% and Mitt Romney's 8.8%, while Michelle Bachmann, who barely beat Paul to win the Iowa straw poll, came in fourth with 7.7% of the vote.
